Classes - Fall 2014 

MONDAYS: 

Basic Drawing - with Mr. Billy

  • Mondays, 4:15 to 5:15 pm, 12 week session – September 15 to December 8
  • Ages 5 to 7
  • $170 supplies included. Fee prorated by $12/missed class for late registrants
  • Course description: A drawing class for younger artists learning to draw realistically using markers, colored pencils, oil pastels, and graphite techniques. Register by completing the email form at the bottom of this page.

Drawing Fundamentals - with Mr. Billy

  • Mondays, 5:30 to 7 pm, 12 week session - September 15 to December 8
  • Ages 8 to 12 
  • $215 supplies included. Fee prorated by $15/missed class for late registrants
  • Course description: A drawing class exploring various artistic techniques like light logic, color theory, realistic drawing, human proportion, and perspective. Register by completing the email form at the bottom of this page.
TUESDAYS:

Oil Painting - with Chris Brandley
  • Tuesdays, 10:30am to 12pm, 6 week session - September 9 to October 14
  • Ages 18 and up 
  • $195 supplies required - see list. Fee prorated by $27/missed class for late registrants
  • Course description: This course will include paint along demos, step by step instruction, and one on one easel time. We will focus on oil painting technique, composition, light and color, and how to keep the color from getting muddy! Students will learn to see "impressionistically," and will explore the ability to "suggest" rather than "render" the subject. Come prepared to have a relaxing, fun-filled learning experience. This class is for all levels of painting from beginners to advanced! It is designed to help you take your painting to the next level.

Cartooning - with Mr. Billy

  • Tuesdays, 5:30 to 7 pm, 12 week session – September 16 to December 9
  • Ages 8 to 12 
  • $215 supplies included. Fee prorated by $15/missed class for late registrants
  • Course description: A drawing class covering the special techniques of drawing cartoon characters. Students will learn to draw well-known characters and develop their own original characters. Register by completing the email form at the bottom of this page.

Wednesdays:

Blender 3D Modeling/Animation – with Mr. Billy

  • Wednesdays, 6 to 8 pm, 12 week session – September 17 to December 10
  • Ages 10 and up
  • $250 supplies needed. Fee prorated by $18/ missed class for late registrants
  • Course description: Students will use Blender, a free professional 3D rendering program to make 3D models, build realistic materials, and explore animation techniques used by big movie studios like Pixar or Dreamworks. Students are required to bring their own laptops to class. Working in 3D is much easier when students bring a mouse. You can download Blender for free from Blender.org, or Mr. Billy can help with installation the first week.


THURSDAYS:

  • Course description: A drawing class exploring various artistic techniques like light logic, color theory, realistic drawing, human proportion, and perspective. Register by completing the email form at the bottom of this page.

Teen/Adult Drawing - with Mr. Billy

  • Thursdays, 6 to 8pm, 11 week session - September 18 to December 11 (no class on September 25)
  • Ages 12 and up
  • $220 no supplies required. Fee prorated by $18/missed class for late registrants
  • Course description: A realistic drawing course for teens and adults of any skill level. We will use marker and color pencil techniques, explore graphite and pen drawing, and explore a variety of subjects each week. Register by completing the email form at the bottom of this page.
